The UWM Triangle lawn ornament has become a bit of a legend in the local Triangle community. Made of railroad rails and several layers of paint, this tetrahedron weighs several hundred pounds and can barely be tipped over by one person. It sits proudly on a cement pad in the front lawn of the UWM Chapter house. While its proper resting place is at the UWM house, the ornament often makes impromptu trips to other chapters. At least once a semester you can bet that the MSOE chapter will have it. In fact, "stealing" the lawn ornament has become a tradition around here.
On October 17th, UWM Triangle was contacted by generous alumnus Tom Grotophorst uwm97 who is donating 19 sheets of 4'x10' drywall to help finish remodeling the Andrew Paradowski Memorial Chapter Room, located in the attic of our house. This donation will be enough to cover a good portion of the walls in the attic, so we would like to extend a thank you to Tom. Before we can start work on the attic walls, we must first fix the leaking roof and re-insulate the walls. Currently the roof leaks in at least two places, and the underlying insulation has eroded away.

On the morning of Saturday October 9th, 2010, three brothers from the UWM Chapter of Triangle - Joey Friedli, Tony Klose and Joe Fahrenkopf - participated in a joint philanthropic event with a local Masonic Lodge. The task at hand was to help control the spread of an invasive plant species in the Havenwoods State Forest in Milwaukee.
The UWM Chapter of Triangle would like to extend congratulations to our brothers at the University of Cincinnati who are recolonizing this fall. The University of Cincinnati Chapter was first established in 1921 and operated for 84 years before closing in 2005. This fall, Triangle and the Cincinnati Triangle Alumni have made grand plans to re-colonize our 6th national chapter.
In the summer of 2010, Triangle men from around the United States, including some from our chapter at UWM, gathered in Terre Haute, Indiana for the bi-annual Herbert Scobie Leadership School. Along with attending seminars and classes on how to be a good leader, they also helped out in the local community. The following is a letter to the editor of the Terre Haute Star Tribune from one family who was helped by Triangle and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternities, begining with a note from Scott Bova, the head of the Triangle Education Foundation.
Friends,
